Hey, if you are interested in Nature and Landscape-type HD DVDs to show off the stunning quality of High Def, HD Scape is having a clearance sale on their own titles. HD DVDs are $3.95 (plus $2.95 shipping for first item and $1 each additional). Here is their Web Site: http://www.hdscape.com/cat_hdscape.cfm

Well folks if any of you are considering going BLU this christmas stay away from the Samsung BD-P1500 at first this machine ran great but once i did the firmware update it stopped playing most of my Blu-ray movies. If you are going Blu buy a PS3 as it has no problems with any BR movies, i can't believe HD DVD lost out to crap like this i never had any of these headaches with any of my HD DVD players they always performed flawlessly for every movie every time! Anyways just thought i would give a heads up just incase these are on sale on black Friday.

I built up my collection of HD DVD's then i couldn't find anymore that i wanted and the ones i wanted were all on Blu-ray. I thought about it for a bit and finally decided to take the plunge into Blu-ray and picked up the Samsung BDP1500 for $249 Canadian, not a bad price and it's BD Live so it can be updated. At some point all the good HD DVD titles will fade and if you want to watch new movies in high def you will have to go Blu or maybe you can just stream them through the Xbox at 720P.

My gut tells me it will be a lot sooner than 2 -3 years. Some titles are already tough to find. I am sure there will always be some used titles floating around though. However, as far as I know, nobody is producing discs anymore. A few new titles may trickle through typical and atypical distribution channels, but my guess is that those discs were pressed somewhere around Toshibas February 08 annoucement. I love HD DVD, but I will definitley pickup a Blu-ray player when the time is right for me. Good luck with the seasickness; I haven't heard that complaint before. I think depending on where you were watching the Blu-ray disc, the person or retailer displaying the technology may have had the 120Hz Motion Smoothing on the display device turned on. I highly recommend that you turn this feature off if you find the on-screen motion makes you uneasy. Good Luck!

These sales are good. But as a buyer that is cheap I scour the internet and even compare prices and shipping cost of major websites before I finally purchase a dvd. I have been building up my HD-DVD collection. I used DeepDiscount.com alot for these particular purchases. That was until I found something better. I found that www.frys.com has had the best collection of movies and many that come in with a price of around 4.99 and many even lower. The average is about 6.99 and some above. But I got Transformers Movie 2 disk hd-dvd set for 11.99. I recommend looking at frys.

These 99 are $7.99 as of this moment... which of course means that a purchase of 3 discs is no longer just over the free shipping threshold, but under by $1.03... I guess I'll have to buy 4!
